About SignalFlow
Send your signal. Your music, your flow.
SignalFlow is a social music platform built for electronic music: a place to stream, share, and discover, with scenes to talk in, events to show up for, and a marketplace where the artist always comes first.
Why this exists
SignalFlow is simple: a music platform built for artists and fans, by an artist and fan.
Build a profile that looks like you, share your music, stream, chat, and connect with fans, other artists, and industry professionals in a new way.
Why do you need 10 accounts to connect with the same people about the same thing? That's why we aren't just a music streaming service or marketplace, we're social; just like music is supposed to be. Your music deserves a home, and that's why we're here.
Your masters stay yours
You own your music. Full stop. We store your original lossless files exactly as you uploaded them and never claim ownership, never remaster without permission, never license them to anyone else.
Uploading grants SignalFlow one thing: a license to stream your tracks to listeners on this platform while they're published here. Remove your music anytime and that license ends with it.
The marketplace: the artist keeps 90%
Everything uploaded streams free, and selling is open. The split is the same for music and merch: 90% of the sale price goes to the artist, 10% keeps SignalFlow running. Card processing is added at checkout on top of the buyer's total, never taken out of the middle, so the artist's 90% is 90% of the real price. Set a price, offer it free, or let fans name their own price above your minimum. No distributor, no middleman.
If these terms ever change, they change here first and in your favor before your money is involved.
Tickets
Event ticketing is built in: every ticket is trackable, transferable with verification, carries a rotating entry code the door can scan, and is capped at four per customer to keep scalpers starved. Ticket sale terms are published before sales open.
Storage
Free artist accounts hold 10 GB of lossless audio. Paid tiers raise that ceiling (100 GB, 200 GB or 350 GB on Signal). Founding Artists get the Signal tier free. We meter space in gigabytes rather than hours on purpose: a two-hour set should not cost a DJ their whole allowance, and your browser knows a file's size before the upload even starts.
Your work, with credit where it's due
Upload music you made. Remixes are welcome when the original artist is credited; the upload desk has a Remix option that puts their name right on the track. Mixes are welcome too; use the tracklist tools to credit every artist whose work appears, because that attribution becomes their credit and, eventually, their payment. What is never welcome: rips and re-uploads of other people's records as your own.
Say hello
Questions, ideas, or just want to talk shop? Find us in the scenes or write to connect@signalflow.co. A human reads it.
For artists, labels, and promoters, the terms on this page are what you accept before uploading or selling. They're versioned (this is version 1); when they change, you'll be asked to read them again before continuing to sell.
