Community Notes: the July 21 update

2w ago

Some website news worth sharing. Founding Artists now get 60 GB of lossless storage, up from 10. That is the full Signal tier, on the house for your first year, because you were here first. Free artist accounts grew too, from 4 GB to 6 GB. Nobody lost a byte and nothing you uploaded moved. Blocking someone now cuts the whole tie on both sides, follows and friendships included, the way it always should have worked. Dead links used to flash you with a bright white error page. They now land somewhere calm, in the dark, with a way back to the music. And a pile of small things behind the scenes got sturdier, mostly around how the app and the site talk to each other. Nick

Big one tonight. Here is what is new on SignalFlow. Your private library is open to everyone. Head to Library and look for Your Uploads: bring your own files, store up to 15GB, and stream them anywhere SignalFlow goes. They stay completely private, streamed only to you, never in feeds or search. You can now edit titles, artists, albums, and add your own artwork, sort your shelf, and select many tracks at once to move or update together. Playlists got hands. Reordering is drag and drop now, and your private uploads can join playlists too. Any playlist holding a private upload seals itself: it stays yours alone, always. The library got shelves. Instead of one endless list, your music now lives in tiles: Mixes, Tracks, Singles, EPs, Albums, and Private. Tap a shelf and search inside just that shelf. Messages feel right. Sending a message no longer flashes the window, and the keyboard stays up so you can fire off thoughts back to back. Photos open properly. Tap any post photo, on the feed or on the post page, and it opens full screen with arrows to browse. For our app testers: build 22 is the one. The new orb navigation with the glass deck player, real glow in the visualizers, a living backdrop behind the player that breathes with your artwork, and your private uploads now light up every visualizer just like catalog tracks. More coming. Nick

Today was a big build day. Here is everything new on SignalFlow: 🔴 Live video is here. Head to the Studio, hit Go Live Now, and broadcast with your camera. Six visual looks, live chat, and floating emoji reactions from your fans. Every stream is auto screened to keep the platform safe, and replays land on your profile under the new Streams tab. 📻 Radio Shows. Create a recurring series, record a set in the Studio, and it files itself as an episode automatically. Your show lives on your profile with its next air date, so fans can set reminders. 💸 Name your price. Selling music? You can now let fans pay what they want above your minimum. You keep 90 percent of whatever they choose, always. 🧭 A new menu. The left menu is now blocks that slide open. When anyone is live, the Stream block glows red so you never miss a broadcast. 👤 Cleaner profiles. The feed is for posts, your latest tracks and releases sit on the right, and play and fan counts are now private by default (turn them on in Settings under Privacy). Plus an online light so people know when you are around. ▶️ And a handful more: YouTube links in posts now play right in the feed, genre tags are clickable everywhere, the post composer has emojis, and the visualizers got a serious tune up. More soon. Thank you for being here early, it means everything. Nick
